Looking for an opportunity to spend some quality time
with other members of your community doing things that can make a difference
in the Green County area? Check out the listings below for upcoming opportunities to get involved
in a community activity that suits your interests.
Needed -- Friendly volunteers to share their pride in Green County and welcome
visitors to our area. Feel you don't know enough about the local history or
cheese-making? No problem. We have an excellent audio tour and lot's of printed material to help people find what they are looking for.
Don't have much time? The commitment is as little as 3 1/2 hours a month. Fearful of being alone at the
Center? We do our best to staff two hosts per shift.
The rewards? The pleasure of meeting interesting people, the satisfaction of
helping our community, the challenge of finding answers to unexpected questions,
the occasional opportunity when there are no visitors to catch up on your
reading, and finally, the fun of it all.
If you are considering joining our family of volunteers, please call (608)
325-4324 or E-mail Miff@tds.net We'd be delighted to welcome you aboard!
