Monticello Extended Stay offers three comfortable furnished
rooms on the second floor in a welcoming atmosphere. Guests sleep
between line-dried sheets and can save money by preparing their own
meals in the kitchenette. There's a pleasant porch and a large flower
filled yard with stone paths and shade trees offering guests peace and
tranquility.
 Proprietors Bob and Sally established the first licensed Bed & Breakfast in Green County back in 1986. It was located in Albany, Wisconsin and was then known as the Albany Guest House. It is still in operation today as a Bed & Breakfast but it is now called the Albany House Bed & Breakfast.
Retirement from breakfast-making took Bob and Sally to Monticello, Wisconsin where they’ve established the licensed rooming house known as The Monticello Extended Stay. They recognized the need to provide rooming options for people in transition i.e. those who need a place to stay while looking for area real estate or filling temporary local job assignments, and for folks looking for an alternative to traditional hotel and motel stays such as vacationers and business travelers.
The Garden Room is a large guest room with a king size bed and is decorated like the outdoors with a bit of whimsy. The private attached bathroom has a walk-in shower and dresser. A computer can be accommodated on the room's desk and wireless internet is available.
The Garden Room has a two night minimum stay for holidays or special event weekends and rents for $500 - Monthly, $200 - Weekly, or $60 - Daily.
 The Elmer Room can accommodate up to three guests. It offers a queen-size bed along with a single bed.
Grandma's Room offers an antique queen-size bed, and a day bed, and can accommodate up to three guests.
The large hall bathroom with tub/shower serves both the Elmer and Grandma's Room.
Their rent is: $400 - Monthly, $150 - Weekly, or $40 - Daily.
 Main attractions include Lake Montesian, Community Park, Downtown Monticello and the beautiful Montesian Gardens, all of which are within walking distance of your room. You can dine locally at M & M Cafe, or Wednesday through Sunday at The Monticello House or The Dining Room at 209 Main. The Sugar River Bike Trail and Badger State Bike Trail converge in Monticello and offer excellent hiking and biking options. Monticello, in the heart of Green County, provides a great stepping off point for many adventures in our area. New Glarus , Wisconsin, known as “America's Little Switzerland” is located just five miles away and offers a variety of dining, shopping, recreational, and entertainment options. It is home to the annual Heidi Fest, The Historic Swiss Village, New Glarus Woods State Park, just to name a few. Monroe, Wisconsin is just a short 12-mile drive from Monticello and host a variety of events including Cheese Days Festival and the annual Monroe Balloon Fest. It offers visitors a host of arts and entertainment options. Therefore, whatever your taste is you'll find plenty to do in the area, all within a short distance from Monticello Extended Stay Rooming House.
