You may cancel your membership at any time. To cancel your membership, contact us via the Member Support page and ask us to remove your account. We will send you a verification email, which you must reply to before we can delete your account.
You agree that Green County Spotlight LLC may, terminate your membership and access to our services without prior notice. Causes for such termination shall include, but are not limited to breaches or violations of this TOS or other agreements, modification, or discontinuation of our services, technical or security issues related to our services, and/or extended periods of member inactivity (18 months or more).
We shall not be liable to you or any third party for the termination of your account or access to our services for any reason.
GreenCountySpotlight.com is an information and communication platform designed to bring people together in and around the Green County area of Wisconsin. To this end, we offer free classified advertising services, public forums and other communication services for people, businesses, and other organizations in our local communities. By using these service, you agree to accept and abide by the terms and conditions in this section.
You must be 18 years of age to use any GreenCountySpotlight.com membership service including public communication services.
GCS does not have control over who reads or responds to public communications posted by you but you must be a member of GreenCountySpotlight.com to use these services.
Public communications must be appropriate for all viewing ages and listed in the most appropriate area of the site for the content of the communication.
Posting the same ad in two or more categories of the classifieds at the same time or more than once in the same category at any given time is "spamming the classifieds" and prohibited. This includes rewording an ad to make it different from the original but not changing the essential meaning in the rewording.
You may post as many classified ads or forum postings as you need if you do not abuse the service. We alone shall determine instances of abuse.
GCS is not a party to any Classified Advertising transaction including, but not limited to, sales, trades, employments, rentals, and free exchanges. Sellers, buyers, employers, job seekers, property owners and renters and those involved in free exchange or barter are completely responsible for working out all the details of each transaction, bearing any costs related to the transaction, resolving any disputes arising out of the transaction, and understanding and complying with any laws, regulations, or restrictions pertinent to the transaction.
We have the right to pre-screen content posted via our communication services but are under no obligation to do so and we may, at our own discretion, refuse or remove any ad content, including photos, submitted to these services.
You acknowledge and agree that GCS is not responsible for the completeness or accuracy of any ad content, forum posting or other member communication. You also agree that you are responsible for evaluating all content on the site and that you bear all risks pertaining to your use of any such content posted via these services including your reliance on the accuracy or completeness of the content.
We highly recommend that you do not post your email address in any public communication. Doing so can have undesirable consequences and it is not necessary to do so. The classifieds system allows you to receive email from ad respondents without divulging your email address in public. The failure of GCS to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the TOS shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of the TOS is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the TOS remain in full force and effect.
You agree that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising out of, or related to, your use of our services or the TOS must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred.
